A limitless box
Of abandoned ideals
The fabrics of our selves
Misplaced, discarded
Left behind and shed
Copper collared dreams
Purple silks
And deep green velvet beliefs
Ripped at the seams
And left alone
But not lost,
Not entirely
The box will remain
Rooted,
And as each piece is forgotten
Tangled in knots
Layered and rested,
A new one is found.
